Columbia Opportunities accepts applications from Columbia County residents for HEAP each year starting in November. HEAP provides an annual benefit to help with home heating and energy costs. Columbia County residents may apply in person or by mail. Applications are available online or download a application PDF (button below) or come in person to Columbia Opportunities. Applications and supporting documents may be dropped off in person during regular office hours, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00 or 24/7 via our drop box located here at 540 Columbia Street, Hudson, NY.

The Home Energy Assistance Program also offers an emergency heating equipment repair/replacement program and an emergency cooling program.  Please contact the Columbia County Department of Social Services at (518) 828-9411 for information.
